Esther Mae Mathews was born on March 23, 1914, in Cherryfield, Washington, Maine.^[1] She was the daughter of Warren Mathews and Anna Rebecca (Strout) Mathews.^[2]

She married Hollis Cookson Fickett (1912-2004) on May 18, 1935 in Maine.^[3]

Ester was an Elementary Grade Teacher.^[4]

Esther died at the age of 86 on March 7, 2001^[5] in Cherryfield, Washington, Maine, and was buried in the Pine Grove Cemetery.^[1]
