Richard was born 15 November 1890 in Victoria. [1] He was a clerk with a little previous military service when he enlisted on March 1st, 1915 for overseas service. [2] He became a farmer in Metchosin.
On 7 November 1938 Richard married Nita Dolores Pennington, also of Metchosin, in the Sheriff's Office in Victoria by civil contract[3][4].
Richard died in the Veterans' Hospital in Victoria 26 Dec 1973 and was buried in Royal St. Mary's Cemetery in Metchosin. [5]
