James was born 3 April 1893 in Victoria. He enlisted 10 Nov 1914 having served earlier in R. M. C. Kingston, Canada Corps of Guides. [1] He was a poultry farmer in Metchosin.
James Ernest Mathews and Thomasina Kennedy Burge were married 1 Sep 1920 in St. Stephens Church, Saanich, British Columbia by license. [2]
James married Ann Burns Kidston who died in 1980.
James was living on St. Charles St., Victoria when Thomasina died 5 November 1962. He died 13 Nov 1984 in Victoria. The informant was his daughter, Mary R. Bird. [3]
