Martha was born in 1846. She married Abner Johnson, a farmer, and had several children. They farmed on rented land in Clinton county, Ohio. Before 1880, they moved to Union, Fayette county, Ohio. Her husband may have put a down payment on some land, as by 1900, they were living on their own farm in Washington Court House, Fayette, Ohio. She passed away in 1905.
