Biography
When Herbert H Mathews was born on October 15, 1929, in Lynn, Alabama, his father, Jessie, was 47 and his mother, Amanda, was 39. He had three brothers and three sisters and was married to Mauvereen Calvert. He died on June 2, 1998, in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 68, and was buried in his hometown.
