Biography
Edith Alice May Mathews was born 25th October 1901, at Glenburnie, with her birth being registered in the Grey district, South Australia, the daughter of Arthur Mathews and Eva Milnes. [1]
In 1923, she married Keith Douglas Strathallen Ian Rutherford Saltmarsh. Their marriage was registered in the Clare district, South Australia.
Edith Alice May Saltmarsh passed away in 1963, her death registered in the Adelaide district, recording her deceased husband's name in full. [2]
Her online burial record states that Edith, aged 62 years, died 28th November 1963, her final residence Crystal Brook. She was buried in the local cemetery on the same date, probably making that date of death incorrect. There, in the Crystal Brook Cemetery, she joined her husband who had predeceased her the year before. [3]
