Biography

Peter Mathias was born about December 25, 1785 in Berks County, Pennsylvania, son of Johan Jacob Mathias (~1742–~1842) and Sarah McDudah (~1745–~1835).

Peter married Rebecca Fought (born on December 3, 1795 in New Berlin, Union, Pennsylvania; daughter of Michael Vogt and Elizabeth (Shively) Vogt). Their son was Jacob Mathias (~1829–1917).

Peter died about January 25, 1879 in Hocking County, Ohio, United States, aged about 93.[1]
