Douglas was born in 1917. He was the son of Aenger Mathieson and Ethel Williams. He passed away in 1973 and is buried in the Warrnambool Cemetery, Victoria. [1]
Douglas served in the armed forces during WW2; in the Army July 1940 to July 1942 [2] and then in the Air Force (RAAF) February 1943 to April 1946. [3]
