Rose Ella Matlock was born about February, 1886 in Nacogdoches, Texas, United States, daughter of Henry Pickens Matlock (1849–1925) and Lucy Amanda Vardeman (1859–1921).[1]

In 1900, Rosea (14) was in the household of her father, Henry, in Justice Precinct 5, Nacogdoches, Texas. [2] [3] [4]

Rosa (15) married Charles Emmett Clifton (20) (born on March 6, 1882 in Nacogdoches; son of Thomas B. Clifton and Mary Ann Clifton) on December 24, 1902 in Nacogdoches County, Texas.[5] [6]

Rosa (15) married Charley E. Clifton on December 24, 1902.[7]

In 1910, Rosa (24) was living with her husband, Charles, in Justice Precinct 5, Nacogdoches. [8]

Rosa died about 1910 in Texas, aged 23.
