Matlock Cemetery near Estanalee Creek in Southwest Mcminn County, Tennessee, near Niota and three miles east of Riceville is on the old Matlock homesite and was formerly Cherokee Indian ground. Home was purchased in 1818 from Betsy McIntosh, a half breed Cherokee indian wife of the great Cherokee chief "Falling Water". Both are still buried here on this said property...located on county rd 725.
