Biography
Frederick James Matthews, son of James Matthews and his wife Maria, [1] [2] was born on 6 November 1832 in St Helens, Isle of Wight. [2] [3] He was baptised on 10 February 1833 in Newport, Isle of Wight. [2] He married Jennette Cave on 12 September 1854 at St Mary's church, Portsea, Hampshire. [1] [4] He died on 17 June 1897 on the Isle of Wight. [5] [6] He was buried in Ryde New Cemetery, Ryde, Isle of Wight. [7]
