Biography
Amelia Elizabeth Matthews was the daughter of Thomas Matthews. She was born in about 1824.[1]
She married William Hislop Clarke, barrister, on 16 August 1843 by licence at St Paul, Hammersmith, Middlesex. The marriage register records that she was a minor.[1]
She died on 30 March 1850, aged 26.[4] A death notice in the John Bull recorded:
DIED ,,, March 30, Amelia Elizabeth, the wife of William Hislop Clarket, Esq., of Notting-hill-terrace, and New-square, Lincoln's Inn.[5]
