DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Richard by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Richard:
Hi Kim. I noted you used the phrase "cleaning up the mess". Is that regarding Bedford Matthews or are there other issues you have noted. I am an active member. Feel free to collaborate with me. I have contact with other descendents of this tree and appreciate the efforts others offer. Thank you. I am pending this merge because a granddaughter of William Matthews Keeps in touch. Elizabeth Burgoyne was from England.
Thank you, Ki,m. My concerns are as follows. One Bedford Matthews has full siblings under Richard Matthews and Harriet Clow. The siblings of the other Bedford is listed as half sibling to the other siblings. How is that cleared by merging The 2 Richard Matthews. The Matthews-67 was created first. Whoever created Matthews-1691 did not check the list of possible matches that appears upon creating that portion of the tree. How many other Matthews created incorrectly will require merging?
Matthews-1691 and Matthews-67 appear to represent the same person because: Merging our two Richard Matthews, husband of Harriet Clow, is a start to cleaning up the mess. This way, each Bedford Matthews will have the same parents.
