Page 8 of the census shows Micajah Dalton (26) and wife Eliza J. (25) with children David W. (5), Mary A. (3) and Theodocia (1). Micajeh is a farmer and values his real estate at $600 and his personal estate at $300. Micajeh reports he was born in Tennessee while the others report being born in Kentucky.

Page 19 shows Micahah M. Dalton (38), wife Eliza J. (35) and children David W. (15), Mary A. (14), Theodosia (13), Martha M. (8), Josiah (4) and Fannie (1) living on the farm. The farm immediately before them in the census records is the Joseph Matthews farm, one of the families who moved to Arrington with them. Micajah is a farmer and reports his real estate to be valued at $1,200 and his personal estate at $450. He reports he was born in Tennessee and the rest of the family in Kentucky. He reports he can neither read or write and his wife can not write. [5]

Page 24 of the census shows M.C. Dalton (48), wife Eliza (46) and children Irah J. (14), Fannie E. (11), Nancy J. (9), and William A. (6) living on the farm. Also living with them is his married daughter, Mary Burkett (24) and her children Levi (7), Eliza A. (5) and Missouri (1). All of the Daltons report their parents were born in Kentucky, M.C., Eliza, Irah, and Mary Burkett report being born in Kentucky. Fannie, Nancy, William report being born in Illinois. M.C. reports to be a farmer.

Page 2B of the census shows Eliza Jane Dalton (65), living with her son William A. (25) and his wife (Mariam E. (28) and their children Arthur E. (8), Nora J. (5) and Manda B. (1 mos.). Eliza reports she was born in July 1835 and is widowed. She reports 8 of her 9 children are still living. Mariam reports 3 of her 6 children are still living. Eliza Jane owns the farm without a mortgage and son William reports to be a farmer. [7]
1910 - Illinois, Wayne County, Berry, shows Eliza J. Dalton (74) living with her son William A. (36) and his family. She is still widowed and reports she can read but not write and that 7 of her 9 children are still alive . [8]
