Biography
Seth Arnold was b. 3 March 1774 at Ragged Islands[1]. He m. Lydia Matthews, 2 May 1797 at Christ Church, Shelburne. His family lived at Little Harbour, Ragged Islands. He was enumerated as a Methodist fisherman at Little Harbour, Shelburne Co., in the 1827 census (four males, three females) and enumerated as a fisherman at Little Harbour, Shelburne Co., in 1838.

- Elizabeth, b. ca. 1799, Ragged Islands, m. John Hardy, lv. Allendale, Shelburne Co., d. 11 May 1866 at Ragged Islands.
- Jane, bapt. 22 Dec. 1803, Christ Church, Shelburne.
- Elizabeth, b. ca. 1805, Ragged islands, m. Charles Slade, lv. Musquodoboit Harbour, d. 4 April 1877 at Musquodoboit Harbour, 72 years.
- William, b. ca. 18__, m. Henrietta D. McDonald, using a bond dated 29 Dec. 1830, enumerated as a fisherman at Little Harbour, Shelburne Co., in 1838
- John Barry, b. 12 Feb. 1813, Little Harbour, Shelburne Co., bapt. 14 Nov. 1817, Christ Church, Shelburne, m. Charlotte Ann Spearwater (b. ca. 1816), 26 Dec. 1837 at Christ Church, Shelburne, enumerated as a fisherman at Little Harbour in 1838, Baptist, d. before 1871 when she was enumerated as a widow at Little Harbour, Shelburne Co.
- Seth Harris, b ca. 181_, Shelburne Co., m. Susanna Catherine Spearwater, 18 May 1840 at Christ Church, Shelburne.
