Biography

Edwin Matthews, son of Thomas Matthews, [1] was born on 1 March 1855 in Horsham, Sussex. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] He married Caroline Purkis on 21 May 1876 at Christ Church, Totland Bay, Isle of Wight. [1] [4] [6] [7] He died in about January 1941 in Cowes, Isle of Wight. [8] [9] He was buried on 1 February 1941 in Northwood Cemetery, Cowes, Isle of Wight. [9]
