The Birth and Marriage Date is a rough estimate. See the text for details.

Dordi Mattsdotter was the mother of Erik Dahlbergh, who was her first child. Jöns and Dordi had two more children: a daughter, Sara, in 1627 and a son Aron, in 1629. They lived at Hanevad in Simtuna parish.

Jöns Eriksson Dahlberg died in 1629, leaving Dordi a widow with three young children. Deprived of the salary of her husband, she was in a difficult situation. She applied for tax exemption for Hanevad and the other farm supporting the family (both farmed by tenants). The exemption was granted.

1631 or 1632 Dordi Mattsdotter remarried. Her second husband was liutenant Peder Gråå of the Västmanland Regiment. Their daughter Ingrid was born in 1633 and a daughter Dorothea was born in April 1636.

Dordi Mattsdotter died in childbed after the birth of Dorothea.

Research note

The marriage of Dordi Mattsdotter and Jöns Eriksson is assumed to have taken place the year before the birth of their first child, Erik. Her birth year is roughly estimated to make her somewhat younger than her husband. More precise dates are not likely to be found.
