Mrs. WINSLOW's book is an excellent reference for families of early Perquimans County; however, she does have some errors. The most glaring from our standpoint is that she states Ezeekiel's wife was Hannah NICHOLSON, dau. of Christopher NICHOLSON. This is not true. Hannah NICHOLSON dau of Christopher was married first to John GOSBY in 1685. After John's death in 1693, she married Francis FOSTER in 1694. In 1712 Francis FOSTER & his wife Hannah witness the will of the brother Benjamin NICHOLSON. All during this time Ezekiel MAUDLIN and his wife Hannah were establishing their own family in Perquimans. Not sure who our (Ezeekiel Maudlin's) Hannah was; I spent the last thirty years trying to find definitive proof but to no avail.
