In book, "Francis Mauldin of Calvert Co., Maryland" on p. 25, #160 has Archibald Mauldin with a child # 379 named William Tyre Mauldin. He is buried in an unmarked grave in Smyrna Cemetery, Lowndesville, SC. He gave the land for this cemetery.[1]

In 1880 Census, William Tyre Mauldin said his father was born in NC. Date of death from his probated will. His will was contested and in that complaint WM Tira was named as one of his children.
