William Harold Maunder was born in 1888 in the town of Tiny (Ontario, Candada). His parents were William H Maunder and Mary Ann Osborne. William's father was listed in census records as both a farmer and general laborer and the family was Methodist. The 1891 Canadian census also lists these other siblings in addition to Roberta Llewella May Maunder: Leslie S. Maunder (b. 1876), Edith L. Maunder (b. 1878) and Eva V. Maunder (b. 1891). William married Victoria May Pollard on September 22, 1909. His profession was listed as trainman on the marriage record, fireman in the the 1911 Canadian census, and farmer in the 1921 Canadian census. His obituary from March 1964 lists four children: Eva (married to Arthur Bell), Lenora (married to Cyril Haslam), Betty (married to Basil Mothersill), and Glen Maunder.
