Biography

Johanne Georg Maurer was born 16 Mar 1736 in Schifferstadt, Rheinland-Palatinate, Germany, the son of Maximus Maurer and Maria Eva Sattel.[1]

1757 - Death of Parents. Marcus Maurer, Georg's father, died on 9 May 1757 at age 62, and was buried the following day at St. Jakob's Church in Schifferstadt.[2]

1758 - Marriage. On 28 Sept 1758 he married Catherina Elizabeth Schuster, the daughter of Johanne Michael Schuster and Maria Felicitas Stahl. They were married at St. Jakob's church in Schifferstadt, Rheinland-Palatinate, Germany. [3]

1759 - When Johanne was 23 years old, his son, Ferdinand Maurer, was christened on 23 Nov 1759 at St. Jakob's church in Schifferstadt, Rheinland-Palatinate, Germany.

1761 - Anna Maria Catherina Maurer, daughter of Johanne Georg Maurer and Catherina Elizabeth Schuster, was christened at St. Jakob's church in Schifferstadt, Rheinland-Palatinate, Germany.

1763 - Johanne Georg Maurer and Catherina Elizabeth Schuster had another daughter, Anna Barbara, b. in Mar 1763. She died on Mar 6th and was buried at St. Jakob's church in Schifferstadt, Rheinland-Palatinate, Germany on the 7th of March. [4]

1764 - They had another son, Joseph Michael, b. 8 Oct 1764 in Schifferstadt, Rheinland-Palatinate, Germany.

1767 - On 5 Feb 1767, they christened their fifth child, Philip Maurer, at St. Jakob's church as well. The father was 30 years old at this time.[5]

1793 - Death. Johanne Georg Maurer died on 16 Nov 1793 in Schifferstadt, Rheinland-Palatinate, Germany, and was buried at St. Jakob's Catholic church.
