Biography

Noah Elmer Maust was born May 4, 1892 and is the son of Noah Maust and Sarah Sumey. Elmer grew up in Wharton Township, Pennsylvania[1] and North Union, Pennsylvania[2] along with eight siblings; Robert H Maust, Emanuel Quinter Maust, Ada E Maust, Chauncey Francis Maust, Grover C Maust, Harry Ray Maust, Caroline Ethel Maust and Sarah L Maust.

Noah registered for the World War I draft on June 5, 1917[3] and registered for the World War Ii draft in 1942[4] and did not serve in either war.

Noah married Bertha Freda Beehner[5] about 1915 and they made their home in Harrison, New Jersey where he provided for the family as a laborer in a shipyard,[6] and Uniontown, Pennsylvania where he provided for the family as a carpenter building home and a truck driver for a brewery.[7] [8] Together they raised one child, Gwendolyn Maust. Elmer died in June 1973[9] and is buried in Richwood United Methodist Church Cemetery, Gloucester, New Jersey.[10]
