Josiah Maxey's grave was moved during the Smith Mountain Lake Cemetery relocation project along with 8 other graves. The nine graves were moved to My Ivy Union Church Reinterment Site #.1002.[2]

Maxey-1840 and Maxey-36 appear to represent the same person because: These are clearly the same person. Multiple generations of duplicates created along a line of Maxeys. On WIkiTree there should only one instance of each person.

Maxey-1161 and Maxey-36 appear to represent the same person because: These two Josiah Maxeys are both the son of the same Walter Maxey. They are likely the same person and should be merged.

I wondered if the date listed here for Josiah Maxey's birth was an error? Some of his attached children would be older than he was, and his wife's birth is estimated as 1748. Thanks!
