Biography

http://dougsinclairsarchives.com/maxfield/margaretmaxfield.htm In the transcription of her second marriage record her name is given "Margaret Menfield," but the x in Maxfield has often been transcribed erroneously as ns in other documents. The original hasn't been seen. It is unusually that she would have been referred to by her maiden name and not Ingraham, but evidence supports that she was the widow of Timothy Ingraham when she married Thomas. Margaret of Berkley was appointed administrator of Thomas' estate on 31 January 1754. An inventory was taken in that month. (Bristol Co. Probate Index).(1)
