Biography
Captain John Maxwell was born July 26,1780, Northumberland, England. He came to Virginia in 1767, and served in the Revolutionary War. He was Suerperintendent of the Navy yards of Virginia and commisioner and Captain of an armed ship. He married Olivia Ann Unknown . The couple had one child before their untimely deaths.Virginia Maxwell,born June 21,1812. She passed away the following year Oct.27,1813. Johns wife olivia died soon after Virginia,July 19,1814. And John died at sea Jan. 1815.
