Biography
Mary E. May married Samuel C. Vaden on March 6, 1855 in Marshall County, Tennessee. They had two children, James M. Vaden (b. 1856) and Jasper Stephen Vaden (b. 1859). By the time of the 1860 census in July, Samuel and the two children are listed, but not Mary. Thus, she is believed to have died between Jasper Stephen Vaden's birth in 1859 and early 1860 in Marshall County, TN. Samuel Vaden remarried in December 1860 in Marshall County, TN.
