He was a laborer, and she was a dress maker.
They both lived in West Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.

On 12 February 1900, her husband, Daniel, died, at home.

Frank was a stable boss for W. Penn Colliery; Lizzie's son Thomas Grow was a laborer at a coal breaker, and Lizzie's brother Charles was a house carpenter.

Her brother was a steward at the Moose Hall.

He lived in Upper Shaft, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, and was a laborer for the WPA, last working on 12 March 1937.
On 18 March, he was buried, in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.

On 15 October 1939, Elizabeth died, in West Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, of arteriosclerotic heart disease with decompensation; she also had hypertension and a cerebral hemorrhage.

'He was a life-long resident of that section, and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Shenandoah. He was also a member of the P. O. S. of A., of the Junior Order of Mechanics, of the Sons and Daughters of Liberty, and was a member and secretary of the William Penn Fire Company for the past 33 yearsr [sic].
'A son, Henry, preceded him in death five months ago, and to survive he leaves his wife and the following children: Mattie, of New Jersey; Mrs. Alfred Berner, Frackville; William Grow, of Ringtown, and Thomas Grow, Shenandoah.
'The funeral will be held Thursday, with J. S. Williams and Son, of Shenandoah, in charge.'

'Mrs. Elizabeth Mummey died at her home, 18 Upper Shaft, at 9:10 o'clock last evening. She was a daughter of Thomas May, of town She was a member of the Wm. Penn Methodist Church.
'Surviving are three children, Mrs. George Berner, William Grow and Thomas Grow, and one step-child, Mattie. Also surviving are three brothers, Isaac, Charles and Harvey May, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
'Funeral services will be held from her home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. A. J. Lawson, pastor of the Methodist Church, will have charge of the services. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Shenandoah.
