ELIJAH MAY (ELISHA³, JOHN MAY² II, JOHN¹ MAY) was born 1697 in. He married JANE WHITAKER July 19, 1722 in Rehoboth, daughter of SAMUEL WHITAKER and MARY.

Children of ELIJAH MAY and JANE WHITAKER are:

1. MARY MAY, b. July 10, 1723; m. (1) JOSEPH BUGBEE; m. (2) JAMES BUGBEE.
2. HEZAKIAH MAY, b. March 10, 1734/35, Barrington Rhode Island.
3. SAMUEL MAY, b. November 13, 1739.
4. ELIJAH MAY, b. November 27, 1742; bap. 6 March 1743 at the 2nd Congregational Church of Rehoboth

Jane wife of Elijah May and Mary their daughter were both baptized on 24 November 1723 at the 2nd Congregational Church of Rehoboth (a.k.a. Palmer's River Church).^[1]
