Biography

Edna Elizabeth Trenery (commonly known as "Bonnie") MAY (later WRAY, then CREMER) was born on 9 April 1909, in Gawler South, in the State of South Australia (SA), the daughter of Matthew Richard MAY and Elizabeth MORLAND.[1]

She was engaged to Herbert WRAY in September 1927.[2]

Edna married Herbert WRAY on 21 July 1928 in Gawler SA (at the Methodist Church).[3] The couple had one children - a daughter Josephine - born in 1930.[4]

In 1930, the couple resided in Kalangadoo SA.[4]

Herbert, a police officer, was also later assigned to police stations in Frances and Yankalilla, and finally Adelaide.[5]

In 1950, the couple were residing at 28 Gwynee Street, Firle SA, 1950.[5]

Herbert died near Beachport SA in March 1950.

Edna resided in Glenelg SA, 1953.[6]

Edna later married Edward ("Ted") CREMER. The couple did not have children.

She last resided in Grange SA.[7]

Edna died, aged 94 years, on 13 March 2004, likely in SA.[8]

Her funeral was conducted on 18 March 2004 in the Adelaide West Uniting Church, 312 Sir Donald Bradman Drive, Brooklyn Park SA.[9] She was then cremated in Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena SA.[10] Her ashes were interred, with a memorial inscription, on 14 July 2004 in Centennial Park, Pasadena SA.[7][11][12]
