Edward May was born about 1645 giving the date of his first marriage.
Marriages and Children
He married, first, Hannah King before 13 December 1670, when he was granted 20 acres of land in Plymouth.[1][2]
Issue:
Ann May. Born say 1674. She married about 1693 (birth of 1st child in 1694) to William Bonney. They had 6 children. Ann died between June 1699 and July 1700.[2]
Charity May. Born say 1678. She married about 1695 (birth of 1st child in 1696) to John Curtis. They had eight children. Probably dead by 1731 when it appears her husband remarried.[2]
Edward May. Born say 1682. He was last known living on 12 May 1703 when he sold land in Plymouth.[2]
He married, second, Dorcas Billington between 20 July 1683 and 1684.[2][3]
Issue:
Israel May. Born 1684. His parents had to of been married after July 1683, and was almost certainly of age 21 when he purchased land in Plymouth in 1705. He married Elizabeth Barber on 5 February 1707/8 in Plymouth. They had five children.[2]
Death
He died in 10 Aug 1691.[2] Dorcas is described as Widow May on 16 Mar 1692.[4]
Probate
His inventory was taken on 5 October 1691 and Dorcas, his widow gave oath to the inventory on 16 March 1691/92 at Plymouth. She was granted the administration of his estate.[5]
