Biography

Charles Henry May was born 2 August 1909 to Reuben May and Alice Copeland in Loomis, Michigan & the family moved near Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where they farmed for a few years, next moving to Sandpoint, ID, Yakima Lower Valley & Ellensburg, Washington.

He served in the Army as a mechanic, serving the European Theatre for 3 years. He received a bronze star and a good conduct medal. He returned to Ellensburg as a mechanic.

He retired in 1966 after a heart attack and settled in the Yakima area in 1970. He was a member of the First Church of God. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, music & young children. He was survived by his wife Esther, 1 son, 1 daughter, 1 step son, 1 step daughter, 10 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first two wives, 1 brothers & 8 sisters.

Charles passed away in Heritage Gardens Care Center in Selah.
