Biography

Sarah was born to Walter Mayer and (unknown) Maddiver in Saco on 5 Feb 1661.[1] She passed away on January 8, 1727, In Salisbury.[1][2]

Sarah Mayer married Sgt Thomas Haley in 1683 is Saco, ME, and bore him 4 children. When Thomas was killed in action in 1695, she and three children fled the area to Boston (son Thomas fled to Exeter) where she married Capt Richard Carr on 26 Feb 1702[2] as Sarah Healey. Capt Carr had at least one child by his first marriage (Samuel Carr), and had two more children with Sarah.[1]

In 1705, her brother Benjamin was killed by Indians, and the administration of his estate was to be granted to his eldest sister, wife of Richard Carr.[3]

Mayer-1549 and Mayer-218 appear to represent the same person because: The whole line of Haley-2028 married to West-9151 appears to be a duplicate of the Haley-270 line for several generations. I am proposing mergers of the entire line.
