Biography
Frieda was born in 1896. She was the daughter of Michael Mager and Anna Reusswig. She died in 1983.
Family Stories
Lena's (Anna Maria Magdalena Reusswig) family was reasonably well-to-do. One of Lena's possessions as a young married woman was this cut-chrystal bowl. When Lena's daughter Frieda was born, she was very small and they were afraid she would not live. The Pastor was sent for and asked to perform an emergency baptism. He used Lena's bowl as the baptismal font. Fortunately, Frieda lived. The bowl became a family heirloom.
