Note: 1945: Mrs. Alma Dressing, M. C. Jones, Sgt. Ernest W. Plouff and Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Plouff and son James recently visited Joseph Plouff, son of Mrs. Alma Dressing of 211 1/2 South James street, who is a patient in a Kalamazoo hospital. ^[3] 1956: Mrs. Alma Dressing, 66, of 808 East Filer Street died suddenly Monday. She was found Tuesday noon by her landlord John Bernson. No coroner's inquest will be made. She was born Alma Mayer in Escanaba April 10, 1890 and had been a Mason county resident for 23 years, living in Custer, Victory township and Ludington. Mrs. Dressing was a member of St. Simon's church. She leaves four sons, Wilfred Plouff of Ludington Route 2, Ernest Plouff of Hollywood, Fla., and Eugene and Joseph Plouff;. five brothers, Eugene Mayer of Detroit, Henry Mayer of Pickford, Isadore Mayer of Rudyard, Uldrik and Rosa Mayer of Dryburg; one sister Valdria of Canada. Her husband Henry Dressing preceded her in death several years ago. Funeral services will be held from St. Simon's church at 8 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery at Custer. ^[1]
