Research Notes
Census records - unable to identify 1820 or 1830 federal census records for Adam Mayer in Newberry County, South Carolina; have searched both FamilySearch and Ancestry.com. There could be a variety of reasons for this including the usual indexing related issues (e.g., poor transcription of his name), and/or that he & his family were living in the household of some other family member, in which case he wouldn't have been the head of household and hence not enumerated by name in either the 1820 or 1830 census records.
