Biography
Nancy was born in Arkansas in 1962 to John M. Mayfield (1840-1899) and Tennessee Ann Horton (1840-1919).
In September of 1881 she married Henry Russell Green Yates in Coal Hill, Arkansas. They had a son and a daughter (Robert and Bertie) before Henry died in 1889.
Nancy married again in 1892, to James Martin (1849-1913), and they had three daughters (Ollie Pearl, Allie Aretha, and Lila.)
