I read an article about the death of her first husband Theodore Potts. He died in a steamboat accident on the Columbia River, apparently going overboard and drowning when the steam engine exploded. After that, it appears that Lotte went to Colton to live with family for a while. It seems that she married two more times, but I've not located information about those marriages or Lotte's later life.
