Issachar Mayo fought in the Revolutionary War as a private in Captain Jeremiah Ballard's company, David Well's regiment (enlisted 10 May 1777, discharged 20 Jul 1777 (service 20 months, 10 days, with Northern Army). Issachar went from Harwich, Massachusetts, to Acworth, New Hampshire, in 1788. He appeared on the census of 1790 in Acworth. He bought property in Shutesbury, Massachusetts, from Solomon Wilbour on 19 Jan 1797, and on the same date sold property in Shutesbury to Jacob Church [Franklin Co., MA Deeds, Book 11:40-41]. [7]
