Francis was born in 1835, the son of Peter Mayo (1811–1898) and Ursula Greneau (1811–1902).
Francis Mayo was a Veteran of the Civil War. Enlistment Date: 6 Aug 1861. Enlistment Rank: Private. Muster in Date: 6 Aug 1861. Company C, 102nd Infantry Regiment. Muster Out Date: 3 Sep 1864.
Occupations: Miner, Farmer.
