William McBride's 1800 census information is on image 54 at Family search. His neighbors were Moses Thompson and James Dorris.

Absalom and Jane, along with a number of McBride family members, moved from Abbeville, SC to Randolph County, Illinois in about 1804.

"The Robert McDONALD family arrived in Randolph Co. in late December, 1804, being members of a migration party from Abbeville, SC. The migration party included Absolom COX (m. Jane McBRIDE) (with sons John, William, Thomas and Absalom), Archibald THOMPSON (with sons Robert, William, Moses (m. Lucy HENDERSON, dau. of Adam HENDERSON), Archibald, John (m. Jane McBRIDE, dau. of John McBRIDE), and James), James THOMPSON (w/sons Robert and Archibald), and William McBRIDE (w/children Thomas, John, William Jr., Jane (who m. Absolom COX), Nancy, Margaret and Elizabeth). The McBRIDEs apparently "stopped awhile in Kentucky", and several of the children listed were married, with children of their own, when they arrived in Illinois."[1]
