She was the daughter of William Robert McBride and Annie Walker. ^[2]

In 1891, the family lived in Hutchesontown. Annie was 11.^[3]

She immigrated^[4] to the US with her daughter Mary and son John on the ship Cameronia sailing from Glasgow 22 Sep 1923 and arriving at Boston 4 October 1923 .
