Beulah McBride grew up as Beulah Cook in Crossett, Arkansas, but later married as Beulah McBride. When Isaiah and Maletta died, Beulah was given to a Dr. Cook in Crossett, Arkansas. He had somehow learned of the tragedy, and asked for Beulah. Beulah then moved with her new parents to Crossett, where she became known as Beulah Cook.
