Biography

James was born in 1845. He was the son of John McBryde and Jennet Currie. He was a Confederate soldier, a private in Co. D, 46 th N.C. Regiment. He married Margaret Jane McInnis in 1873 and together they had six children. They lived near Antioch in Robeson County North Carolina where he was a prosperous farmer. He passed away in 1882 and is buried near his home in the Antioch Church cemetery.
