Biography
Great-grandfather of U.S. Senator John Sidney McCain, III.
Honorable John Sydney McCain was the son of William Alexander McCain (1817-1863) and Louise McAllister (1812-1883).
He married Elizabeth Ann Hart Young 31 January 1877 in Teoc, MS. According to 1930 census, his father was born in NC and his mother in AL.
He was living with his son Joe in 1930. One of his sons became Admiral John Sydney McCain, Sr.[1]
