Biography

When Eli McCain was born on June 18, 1786, in Mecklenburg, North Carolina, his father, John, was 54 and his mother, Nancy, was 20. He married Mary "Polly" McGaughey and they had seven children together. He then married Sarah Huston and they had two children together. He died on February 4, 1840, in Tippah, Mississippi, at the age of 53.
