Biography

Shirley Ann McCain was born in 1938. She was the daughter of Orval Lee McCain and Velda Leona (Eldridge) Brewer. Shirley married Ron Huffman. Shirley and Ron had two sons: David and Doug.

Shirley retired after fourteen years as Deputy Court Clerk for Rogers County Courthouse in Oklahoma, during which time she served with four different judges and was awarded for her service to the State of Oklahoma. Shirley was always quick with a smile and treated everyone with courtesy and dignity while performing her duties in an exemplary manner.

She enjoyed reading and music. She was a fan of Rock and Roll music, and she was especially a fan of Elvis Presley. Shirley was able to see Elvis in concert twice, and she remained his fan thought out her life.

Shirley missed Ron very much after his death, as she always had a great love for him. Shirley was able to spend time with both of her two sons, since they both lived in Tulsa in her later years, and she lived her final days with her son Doug and his family.

She enjoyed living with Doug and Michelle and her two granddaughters, Clarice and Gwen, at their home on Skiatook Lake. She like to see the beautiful view of the lake. Shirley passed away in her sleep on 4 May 2023.
