Virginia Jane "Jennie" McCaleb was born about 1804 in Stokes County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Hugh White McCaleb and Elizabeth Holbrook. She traveled with her family from North Carolina to Morgan County, Alabama about 1820. On 14 November 1822, she married James McKinley Logan.[1]
The couple lived in Morgan County until they received a land patent for 80 acres in Marion/Fayette County.[2] Jennie's father Hugh also settled in this area.
Jennie and Robert had fourteen children:

Jennie passed away about 1886 and was laid to rest in the Logan Family Cemetery in Marion County, Alabama. Her resting place is marked with a field stone. [3]
