Biography
James McCall, J.P., D.L., was the fourth son of his parents and known as James McCall "of Daldowie."
In 1815 he married Anna Catharina, daughter of Henricus Fehrszen of the Cape of Good Hope. They had at least four sons and two daughters:
1. Henry, b, 1818 2. John Oloff of Ballyhooly, county Cork, d. 1893 3. George, J.P., Colonel of the 4th battalion Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) 4. Frederick, J.P., who married Charlotte, daughter of William Froggatt Robson on 6 Dec 1781 and died 1882, leaving issue 5. Sarah, who married 1stly Col. R.D. Campbell, and 2ndly Gen. Alexander Maxwell, having issue by her second marriage only 6. Anna.
