Biography

Mary MCAULAY1 was born about 1777 in Ayrshire, Scotland, Great Britain. She was baptized on 2 Feb 1777 in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland, Great Britain^[1]. She was married to William Dreghorn in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland on 12 Dec 1805^[2]. Mary emigrated about 1820 from Scotland to Columbiana County, Ohio in the United States, in order to claim the land she inherited ^[3]. She and her husband John Dreghorn lived on their own property in Washington Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, from 1822 until at least 1838^[4]. She was Presbyterian.
