Biography

Mary MCAULAY1 was born about 1777 in Ayrshire, Scotland, Great Britain. She was baptized on 2 Feb 1777 in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland, Great Britain[1]. She was married to William Dreghorn in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland on 12 Dec 1805[2]. Mary emigrated about 1820 from Scotland to Columbiana County, Ohio in the United States, in order to claim the land she inherited [3]. She and her husband John Dreghorn lived on their own property in Washington Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, from 1822 until at least 1838[4]. She was Presbyterian.
