Mrs. Affie Chilton, wife of Henry Chilton, died at her home, Monday, March 3, (1902) aged 36. She was before marriage Miss Macastler, of Trimble County. As a wife, mother and neighbor she was full of affection and charity. She leaves besides her husband, two sons and two daughters. She was not only kind but cheerful; always had a kind and pleasant word for everyone. She was idolized by her family. For several years she had been a member of the Baptist Church. She was prepared and willing to die, anxious to pass to the home over there. A pure and sweet, noble minded woman, she was dearly loved by all who knew her.

The remains were taken to Trimble County for burial. Though passed from earth Mrs. Chilton will live in the hearts of all who knew her.
